Tananarive Due is a versatile author, with her works ranging from supernatural thrillers to sci-fi novels and civil rights memoirs. She hails from Tallahassee, Florida but currently resides with her husband Steven Barnes in Glendora, California.
“Patient Zero” is included in two Best-of-Year science fiction anthologies for the year, “2000: Year’s Best SF 6 and The Year’s Best Science Fiction: 17th Annual Collection. Her work has also been published in the Dark Matter Anthologies.
Locus says that “The Between” is an extraordinary work of humane imagination… call it magic realism with soul. The closest compatriot of The Between is Toni Morrison’s Beloved. Not shabby.
When Tananarive isn’t writing, she enjoys playing piano and drumming.
