Several folks have expressed some problems and concerns with our new venue. The Vice-Chair and I met with the hotel this week to go over the issues, and we have some very good news.
First, for all of you concerned with the floral scent being pumped into the air in the common spaces and function rooms, the Westin has agreed to unplug those units for us Thursday morning before the convention and leave them unplugged during our event. For those of you who appreciate that portion of the “Westin Experience”, we ask that you please understand that our attendees with allergies or compromised breathing have to come first in this matter.
The hotel is working on extending our room block so those of you wishing to stay through Monday can do so. Likewise, the hotel is working on adding wheelchair-accessible rooms to our block for the weekend. As soon as this is done, we will update this page and let you know via our social media.
